| Objectives of the Project |

The general objective of regional cooperation projects is the promotion of the affinity and the cohesion of Europe aiming to the diminution of the disadvantages of the external frontier areas, which can be succeeded partly with the creation of cooperation networks. The general objective which the project seeks to achieve, in the spirit of the regional cooperation projects, are the following: • Enforcement of the frontier areas of interest, in order to confront with the disadvantages and the problems which are caused by their isolation • Enhancement of the regional cooperation • Creation of the necessary conditions so that the specific areas shall respond to their role as external borders of the unified European entity. Some of the overall objectives of the Priority Axis “Economic Development and Employment” to which the specific project aims are: • The development of regional cooperation in the business sector by supporting the cooperation between the representative bodies • The support of the further development of the regional area’s dynamic • The vitiation of the regional character of those regions which will result to improving the quality of life of the frontier regions of Albania and Greece inhabitants’. Besides, it will amplify their feeling of protection and their support, not their abandonment. The monitoring of the project’s objectives is considered to be necessary. The objectives direct the actions and the strategy of the project and their achievement determine the right choice of the strategy, while they form a criterion for the efficiency of the project’s actions. The specific objectives of the project on which the development and the implementation of the project is based, are the following: • Creation of a stable cooperation framework between the Chambers • Transfer of specialized know-how on matters of business administration, accounting and financial administration, information administration as well as quality administration • Better knowledge of the business environment of the other side of the borders • Creation of cooperation relations among the business executives and economists • Contribution to the regional cooperation in economic and social level • Increase of the number of scientists who have knowledge of the business environment in both sides • Increase of the vocational mobility of specialized economists in both Prefectures |
