The Economic Chamber of Western Macedonia is a Legal Body of Public Law monitored by the Ministry of Economy and Economics.

It is an institutionalized economic consultant of Greece, as it is set in the establishing Law   1100/1980.The Peripheral Department of Western Macedonia is the 5th the fifteen. 1.200 members are registered in it. Every three years elections take place, from which the seven-member Executive Committee is elected, which afterwards the President, the Vice President, the Secretary General and the Economic Supervisor.In the last elections ten members were elected in the Representatives Assembly from the Peripheral Department of Western Macedonia, evidence of the intense activity of the economists of the region.
President of the Peripheral Department is Mr.Emmanouil Karakasis, Head of the National Bank in Kozani.
In the office of the Chamber functions a borrowing library, which includes books of economic content, from which serves its members on a daily basis and also students who study in the city of Kozani.
